After performing for 13 years in film, TV, Commercials, Corporate Videos and Student films I've lost count of the number of characters I've portrayed.
At 19 , at my Mum's suggestion, I started actiong on the stage at Bundaberg Theatre. I was in the chorus of musicals, memories plays. I had fun, but Brisbane was beckoning me.
At 1983, I performed the part of The Bookie in Edward Street Theatre three week run of "The Sentimental Bloke".
In 1994, returning to Bundaberg for TAFE Business Studies, I re-joined my friends at the Bundaberg Players, playing Luther Billis in South Pacific.
In 2017 I moved tl Toowoomba, working as a Disability Support Worker.
I joined the Toowoomba Repertory Theatre, where I enjoyed characters on stage in a number of roles.
As technology interests me, I began working in the sound and lighting booth. I moved to Brisbane again, but the acting bug was really biting me, so I asked Gary Hopes of Agency 888 if he would represent me. The rest, as they say, is history.
I have undertaken a number of courses in American Accent, performance art, accents, firearm safety through my Agent Agency 888 Brisbane.
David-Graham Parker is an Australian born actor who holds Australian and British passports.
Since 2013 he has worked on feature films, television series, commercials and streaming productions filmed in Australia.

My approach to acting
I began my career in Film, Television, Commercials and University Student Projects in 2013.
My approach to acting is grounded in the many years of tuition in person and doing online courses.
During acting classes, we are encouraged to explore the depths of the character - finding the subtle elements the character might be experiencing.
Acting is more than just 'remembering words and where to stand'.
In the safe environment of the classes, we are asked to take chances, exploring, unwrapping our personal vulnerabilies, versatility, searching the professionalism, and authenticity that we can bring to our characters. The story goes, on the stage: 85% character, 15% actor.
I enjoyed stepping into a wide variety of roles in which I was cast. It is vital an actor can adapt their performance quickly, to any changes the Director or 2AD requires.
I ensure I am well rested, prepared, committed, and willing to learn on every Sound Stage I'm fortunate enough to have been invited.
I respect and remain available to my fellow actors, remain true to the script and the Director's vision.
I never claim, "My character wouldn't say that." Thats a good way to never to be invited back again.
I never improvise the intenisty, blocking or dialogue of my character, unless invited.
Above all, I am comitted to bringing the authentic honesty and pashion the characters experiences.
Although I may not personally like the character's behaviour, dialogue or drives, it is imperitive that I do not pass judgement on the character I am play.
I am focused, I remain non-judgmental and non-critical, ensuring my performance shows crediblility, depth of emotion the character is experiencing, as it is written.
